This page explains how Yannick Ribeaut uses the information and photographs submitted to the art project Neighbors.
Who manages your data?
The data controller is Yannick Ribeaut, photographer and lead of the Neighbors project. For any questions or requests about your data: contact@yannickribeaut.com.
What information is collected?
The form collects your first name, town or city, text, a portrait, a photograph of the view from your window, your publication consent and the submission date. A pseudonymized technical identifier is used temporarily to limit automated and repeated submissions.
What is it used for?
This information is used exclusively to receive and review your submission, assemble the diptych and, after approval, display it in the gallery and Neighbors project-related materials. It is neither sold nor used for advertising.
Review before publication
Your contribution does not appear in the gallery immediately. Yannick Ribeaut reviews it before deciding whether to publish it. A submission may be rejected or hidden if it is inconsistent with the project, the rights of the people depicted or safety rules.
Retention and backups
Pending submissions are retained for the time needed to review them. Published contributions are kept for the duration of the Neighbors project unless removal is requested. Internal backups follow the same retention period and are deleted along with the corresponding contribution. Technical identifiers used to prevent abuse are regularly purged and do not contain the IP address in plain text.
Your rights and image rights
You can request access, correction, withdrawal or deletion of your contribution by writing to contact@yannickribeaut.com. If possible, include the reference provided after submission. If the portrait depicts someone else, you must have obtained their consent. For a minor, authorization from their legal representative is required.
Security
Photographs are stored separately from descriptive information. Contributions are backed up on receipt, their size and format are checked, submissions are limited and the review area is restricted to authorized people.
Language preference
The site suggests a language based on your browser preferences, without IP geolocation. If you choose a language, a preference cookie remembers it for one year in this browser. It is not used for advertising tracking. You can change language at any time or delete this cookie in your browser settings.
Participation agreement
For new submissions, we also collect the author credit, language and version of the accepted participation terms. A copy of these terms accompanies your contribution backup to retain a record of permission. This information follows the retention period of the contribution.
